M45- The Pleiades

M45 is a large open cluster in the norther sky. It is instantly recognizable by its seven bright blue stars. What many people don’t realize about this famous cluster is that it is embedded in a beautiful strand of inter stellar dust. The hot young stars of the open cluster cause the dust to glow blue. the dust further away is faintly lit by the faraway stars.
